Früher analog, heute digital. Vor einigen Jahren habe ich die Fotografie für mich wiederentdeckt und bin seitdem stets auf der Suche nach Motiven.
Dafür eignet sich natürlich immer der Urlaub, aber die Zeitspanne zwischen den Reisen ist lang, zu lang. Also mussten Alternativen her. Da bieten sich die Wochenenden an, um kleinere Ausflüge zu unternehmen, um Neues kennenzulernen und das auch noch im Bild festzuhalten. Natürlich nur, wenn das Wetter mitspielt, wer verlässt schon gerne seine Kompfortzone?
Rein sprachlich stehe ich hier schon vor meiner ersten großen Hürde. Wir nennen unsere kleinen Ausflüge immer „Türchen“. Dann heißt es morgens beim Frühstück „Das Wetter ist so schön heute, wollen wir ein „Türchen“ machen?“ Jetzt habe ich aber den Diminutiv von Tour noch nicht gefunden. Heißt es nun Türchen, Toürchen oder Türlein? Vielleicht kannst Du mir bei der Lösung helfen? Ich bin offen für Vorschläge.
Bis das Problem gelöst ist, werde ich für unsere Ausflüge ganz frech den Begriff „Türchen“ weiterverwenden, es sei denn, es wird unerwarteter Weise doch noch eine richtige Tour daraus. Das passiert häufiger als mir lieb ist, immer dann, wenn wir eine Abzweigung verpasst haben oder trotz technischer Hilfsmittel (sie sollten auch zum Einsatz kommen) völlig orientierungslos sind und sich die Kilometer am Ende ungewollt addieren.
Wir, das sind übrigens mein Mann Thomas, ich, Natalie, die hinter der Tastatur, und unser treuer Reisebegleiter Merlin, ein Tibetterrier.
Da Reisen oder „Türchen“ hungrig machen, gibt es hier gleich noch ein paar Rezeptideen obendrauf, viele auch zum Mitnehmen geeignet, man (hier eher Frau) braucht schließlich Energie zum Wandern und Fotografieren.
Wie komme ich nun an all die Vorschläge oder Ideen, die ich hier poste? Nun ich suche nicht nach Ausflugszielen, ich finde sie, und zwar, welch Überraschung, im World Wide Web. Ich denke ich muss das Rad nicht neu erfinden, es gibt schon so viel Tolles im Internet, das gilt es einfach nur zu finden. Meine Ergebnisse probiere ich selbst aus bevor ich sie hier für Dich aufschreibe, vielleicht hast Du ja Spaß daran ein „Türchen“ nachzugehen? Ich bin schon ganz gespannt auf Deine Berichte.

Analog back in the days, digital today. A few years ago, I rekindled my interest in photography and I have been looking for the perfect shot ever since.
Of course, holiday trips are a breeding ground for an endless amount of photos, however, the time in between the trips is long, way to long. This requires alternatives. Utilizing the weekends, for day-trips, to explore new things and to take pictures has proved itself as a good alternative. But only, if the weather is good, because, let’s be honest, who likes to leave the comfort of their own home, when there is a full-blown thunderstorm outside?
Besides the weather being somewhat of an obstacle, the language proves to be another one. In German we have a word to describe our little day-trips on the weekends. We would say “Türchen” which actually translates to a cuter version of a door. Does not make sense, right? Exactly! But what we actually mean is “Little Tour”. Sometimes at breakfast we will say “The weather is nice; don’t we want to go on a “Türchen”? This is not proper German.
Until I find the correct word, I will continue to call our little trips “Türchen” unless they turn out longer than anticipated and become a tour, which is not unusual. Sometimes we might miss a junction or despite using technology to guide us we are unoriented, which in turn results in the unintended kilometres.

On top of the hiking, which makes everybody hungry, the blog includes recipe ideas of which a lot of them can be taken with you on your trips. All the hiking and photography requires your energy after all.
How I come up with all the ideas that I post here? Well, I do not look for the places to see, I find them, and Yes, I find them in the World Wide Web. I think I do not need to reinvent the wheel, there is a lot of good stuff already out there, you just need to find it. I try the trips myself before I show them to you. Maybe you are interested in trying out a “Türchen” that I posted? I’m looking forward to your comments on these.
